Stewart-Haas Nascar Team Gets an Edge with NuShield Triple A™ anti-glare screen protectors on Racing Car’s Digital Dash Panels
August 3, 2016Everyone knows that glare from the sun or other light sources makes driving more dangerous. Glare can temporarily blind drivers, causing them to miss important visual cues on the road. In serious cases, the instinct to cover the eyes or avoid the source of the bright light may cause a car to lose control.
Saving your GPS or Fish Finder from Sun Damage with a NuShield Screen Protector
May 25, 2016It’s time to go fishing, so get out the rods, the reels, the boat and the fish finder, pack them all up, and get out on the water. And with all of those things in the boat, the last thing on your mind should be eliminating the glare on your fish finder. Most displays wash out in bright sunlight, making it hard to read the screen and see where the fish are located.
What’s the Answer?
The best was to solve this problem is to install a special screen protector film over the display that will make the display visible again and also protect the screen from damage by the constant sunlight. The reduction of the sun’s glare will allow you to point the boat in any direction, and you’ll still be able to read the screen. How many times did you try to cover the display with one hand while steering with the other?
Motorcycle Safety: Clear GPS Screens Without Reflections
May 11, 2016If you are like most bikers, you use a GPS device to navigate the roads. Unfortunately, the sun’s glare oftentimes makes it extremely difficult to read what is displayed on the screen, impairing your motorcycle safety. Some motorcycle GPS devices are built with a higher screen brightness, but it does not provide clear visibility when the sun is shining overhead. If you face such a predicament, a solution is available in the form of the NuShield DayVue Film.

If you Ride a Motorcycle, the DayVue Film Is a Must-Have Accessory for your GPS or Radio Display
January 20, 2016For most true motorcycle enthusiasts, there’s simply nothing quite like the experience of getting out on the open road. There’s the sun overhead. The wind whipping by. The road stretching out before you in a never-ending ribbon of possibilities.
However, if you have a GPS device or LCD display radio panel, your leisurely ride can quickly turn into a struggle, and perhaps even a dangerous situation.
With a GPS Screen Protector, Your Car’s Navigation System Doesn’t Need to Suffer From Glare
August 21, 2015Do you remember taking cross-country road trips with your family as a child, and tracing the highways in an oversized road atlas with your finger? Maybe you remember taking those same trips as a young adult, and having to pull onto the side of the road to locate your route on a paper map.
Even if neither of those auto-navigation remembrances ring a bell, there’s a good chance you can still recall the experience of logging onto the MapQuest or Google Maps websites for your driving directions, and then printing them out before leaving the house.
Don’t get us wrong: We definitely believe that there’s something to be said for the nostalgic memories of auto travel. But the truth is that when it comes to maps, directions, and auto navigation in general, technology has made the process of getting from point A to point B in a vehicle an almost foolproof experience.
We’re referring, of course, to the modern GPS navigation device.
Is Your GPS Navigation System Hard to See in the Sunlight?
May 7, 2015It’s the epitome of the American car-lover’s dream: driving down the open highway, sun shining, and the convertible top down. As your hair blows in the breeze, you hear the robotic voice of your GPS navigation system telling you that your exit is coming up. But as you glance at the screen, you realize you can’t see the display in the glare of the sun.
Unmodified photo supplied by customer of Mercedes Benz SL550, with NuShield DayVue film in place on Command Center display.Gone are the days of struggling with enormous paper maps, or printing out pages of MapQuest directions. In recent years, GPS navigation devices have become the standard method of finding your way to a new destination.
GPS devices can come installed in the dash of your car or purchased after-market. With these systems, you can receive both audio and visual cues, effectively ensuring that you never get lost again.
LCD screens, however, are not always clearly visible in sunlight. Glare can wash out the screen, making graphics hard to see. This is true in every car (especially those with a sunroof), and worse in an open-topped convertible where there is no way to escape the bright light of the sun. Polarized sunglasses make the screen even less visible.
It’s certainly worth pointing out that distracted driving, such as squinting at and adjusting your GPS screen, puts you at a three times higher risk of getting in an accident. Does that mean you need to sacrifice your open-topped drive for safety’s sake?
GEICO Skytypers Use NuShield DayVue Films to Stay on Course During Formation Flying
September 24, 2014Flying an airplane requires a great amount of skill and aptitude. Add to that the special skill required for precision flying with five other airplanes in formation. These pilots must rely on electronic instrumentation to find their way to the next “waypoint” to perform low level precision aeronautical demonstration flying as one unit.
The GEICO Skytyper Airshow Team is a flight squadron of six vintage WWII aircraft, performing precision flight maneuvers at select airshows across the U.S. The planes are the SNJ-2 version of the NAA’s BC-1 basic combat trainer. The plane is a vintage craft upgraded with the latest and best navigation equipment. They can roll, loop, spin, snap and vertical roll and are perfect for stunt flying. When the pilots are not performing at airshows, they skywrite messages as tall as the Empire State building, up to eight miles long.
Motorcyclists Use NuShield DayVue to Stop Glare on GPS Navigation
August 20, 2014Being a motorcyclist is a thrilling ride every single time, allowing for that freedom on the road and whizzing through traffic. However, when motorcyclists need to go on a longer haul with their motorcycle this sometimes warrants some travel gear such as a GPS and unfortunately that sometimes means having glare from sunlight on the GPS screen. This can lead to missed exits on highways and getting lost as well as being highly dangerous for the motorcyclists while they are trying to drive. While most navigation systems come with a type of manufacturer protective film, it rarely if ever helps with natural sunlight glare and is only there to prevent scratches.
Another solution that many motorcyclists use are polarized sunglasses, but these only make looking at a digital screen worse. What can a rider do? There is anti glare for GPS navigation through the NuShield DayVue and it actually works.
What’s the difference?
The DayVue is different in that it utilizes unique technology in the film protector itself to block out natural and man made light that causes the glare on digital screens, making it impossible to look at the screen even when the screen is on the highest settings possible with its back light. This can be very dangerous while driving on the road, which is why this type of protection is necessary for motorcyclists using a GPS during their travels.
The best part about the anti glare for GPS navigation from NuShield? Motorcyclists can still wear their favorite sunglasses when they install DayVue to their navigation systems and the protective film will protect the screen from scratches and reflections. This is because of the light cancelling technology added to the films in blocks, similar to how noise cancelling headphones.
Most competitor films will start to peel off the screen after consistent wear and tear. But most of all, they will leave a residue from the tacky side of the protective film that can ruin the screen and cause even more glare and reflection problems. That means having to replace the entire LCD screen which can cost hundreds of dollars. Instead of having to worry about the anti glare film ruining the screen, all NuShield films and screen protectors use a new type of surface that doesn’t leave residue while still being easy to remove.
No polarized sunglasses required
Ditching those expensive sunglasses with polarized lenses has never been easier because of the anti reflective for GPS navigation technology found in the NuShield DayVue. This is an easy solution for all motorcyclists using a GPS navigation system with an LCD screen or even for their smart devices that are also on the go with them on the road.
There is a solution out there when it comes to combating the glare and reflections on digital screens and it is through NuShield’s anti glare technology that can’t be beat.
